How RoamTech helps

  • Setting up Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for the charity, with accounts for staff, trustees and volunteers.
  • Checking whether you are eligible for nonprofit licence programmes and helping with the setup once approved.
  • Shared mailboxes for addresses like info@ and volunteers@, so they do not need a licence each.
  • MFA, backup and sensible sharing permissions for donor and beneficiary data.
  • A simple, written process for adding and removing people as they join and leave.

Common IT headaches for small charities

Volunteers and trustees coming and going

Accounts are left active after people leave, or one login is passed from person to person. A simple joiners and leavers routine fixes both.

Personal email for charity work

Trustees using personal Gmail accounts for charity business makes it hard to hand over and hard to keep data safe. Charity accounts on your own domain solve that.

Donor and beneficiary data

Personal data needs to sit somewhere with access controls and backup, and only the right people should see it.

Nonprofit licence programmes

Microsoft and Google both run programmes for eligible charities with donated or discounted licences. Eligibility and what is on offer are set by them, and it is worth checking before you pay full price.

A tight budget

You need help when you need it, without a big monthly contract. Pay as you go suits many small charities.

Nobody owns the IT

The person who set it all up left years ago and nobody knows the passwords. Getting admin access back and writing it down is the first job.

How it works

Remote first, on site when it matters

  1. 1

    A quick chat

How many people, what you use for email, and what keeps going wrong.

  2. 2

    A clear price

Pay as you go, or a monthly plan if it works out cheaper. Agreed before any work starts.

  3. 3

    Sorted remotely

With your permission, most jobs are done over a secure remote session, wherever you are in the UK.

  4. 4

    On site if needed

Businesses in East Sussex can also have a visit for hardware, Wi-Fi and office setup.
